Dutch climbers Summit Everest!! Update

Update: Friday May 21st. 12.00 NL-Time. 18.00 hr. Everest-time: We just received a message from Rex Snelder at Camp 1 North col. Dawa sherpa returned to North col, had a hot drink and continued down towards ABC. At approx. 18.00 hr. Everest-time Wilco arrived in Camp 1. He is very tired. Both expedition members have enough to drink and eat. They will spent one more night at North col. Regaining some strength. Saturday morning  at 10.oo hr Everest-time they both will descend to ABC. ETA at ABC: 13.00 local time. They received messages about accidents on Mt. Everest last night.

We are happy about the good news from our expedition members at North col, but remain also sad about the accidents.

Rex is almost at camp 1 (north col) light snowfall and not a lot to drink left.

Wilco and Dawa decided to spend night at camp 4 due to bad weather. They are descending as well. Exact location is unknown at the moment.

No information about the person who died. Wilco told in his summit report that with him (besides dawa) on the summit were 4 members of other expeditions, including a Korean person!
